Internship Projects/Tasks/Assignments

  • Monitor and manage First Ascent Social Media platforms, adjusting reach tactics as needed
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas, trends, and campaigns
  • Design and present original social media posts (including creating content from First Ascent and Ascend events)
  • Design and contribute to email campaigns, newsletter, press release, and other marketing campaigns
  • Provide a bi-weekly report of activity, engagement statistics 
  • Attend local First Ascent events and activities, scouting trips, coworking days and career fairs to support the First Ascent program and collect content for social media
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Digital Marketing & Social Media – scheduling posts, engaging followers, managing platforms
  • Content Creation – writing blog posts, press releases, creating marketing materials
  • Analytics & Data Interpretation – measuring campaign success, analyzing consumer behavior
  • Project Management & Organization – handling multiple projects
  • Professionalism – Networking events, communication, collaboration
  • Marketing Tools – Canva, HubSpot

 

Previous Skills Intern Would Need to be Successful

  • Proficiency in Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media platforms
  • Experience with video editing tools (Canva can be learned throughout the internship) 
  • Strong verbal and written skills for crafting compelling, on-brand content and team communication and collaboration. 
  • Data interpretation to make informed decisions
  • Creativity – generate fresh ideas for social media campaigns
  • Ability to adapt and be a self-starter, eager to learn, and able to work independently
