Summary

Elephas is a Madison, WI based biotechnology start up company working to build an instrument platform that will inform how clinicians treat cancer patients around the world. We are seeking a Equipment Operations Intern who is looking to join a group of motivated people driven to providing hope to cancer patients globally.

 

We are looking for someone who is actively pursuing a career in the science, technology, or engineering field with interest and experience in handling and maintaining laboratory, electrical, and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a growing company.

 

What Will You Do?

· Help maintain equipment calibrations and preventative maintenance within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

·        Update CMMS to standardize key asset details

·        Assess potential for in house metrology operations

·        Partner with R&D and Operations on researching and ordering instruments and equipment for use in the laboratories

·        Perform temperature monitoring studies in support of validation

·        Write and review SOPs to support the oversight and maintenance of instrumentation

·        Conduct cleaning of equipment in alignment with scheduled maintenance plan

·        Utilize the software systems to monitor alarms and manage equipment

·        Help perform routine safety tasks within the laboratories

What Will You Need?

·        Actively pursuing a STEM degree

·        Have a commitment and passion for product compliance, quality and safety

·        Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

·        Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

·        Detail orientated with strong organizational skills

·        Excellent verbal, interpretation, and written communication skills

·        Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross culturally
