IT Technician Intern

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The IT Technician Intern will assist in supporting local IT systems used by the business; supporting the
PCs, phones, and laser printers.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Walk-in IT support for local business, In charge of assistance (level 1) of the current ERP and all
others IT matters
● Relay requests and incidents from local users to most relevant IT specialists
● Participate in all IT Projects and insure a role of local relay or coordination towards the technical
projects of the local entities
● Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems in line with Group requirements
● Implement the Group’s IT tools and support users to increase efficiency in all areas
● Maintain quality service by enforcing organization standards
● Maintain professional and technical knowledge
● Other related duties and projects as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE:
● Strong working knowledge of PC, and laptop hardware, PC Operating Systems, Office Productivity
Applications (Google Workspace) Installation and Configuration, Microsoft O/S patches and
updates, and PC Operating Systems.
● Working knowledge of server hardware , Microsoft Server OS configuration, and server backup
devices.
● Good interpersonal and communication skills

 

EXPERTISE:
● Windows 11 operating systems
● Dell desktops & laptops
● Google Suite
● Laser printers, multi-function copiers & label printers
● Barcode scanners
● Samsung & iPhone smartphones

 

EDUCATION:
● Working towards an Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
● PoIT certifications preferred but not required.

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
● This position will support company end users
● This position expects minimal external customer contact.

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
● This position is located in West Bend, WI
● Travel up to 10%
