Licensed Behavior Specialist

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will design and oversee individualized treatment plans that help children with autism reach their full potential while coaching and supporting staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight

  • Develop and supervise the delivery of client-focused ABA autism therapy treatment plans and programs
  • Full-time, Salaried LBSs: Maintain 25 billable hours per week (105 per month); billables beyond this salaried monthly expectation are rewarded with a monthly incentive bonus plan for their efforts
  • Hourly LBSs: Maintain a 75% billable hour ratio for weekly hours
  • Ensure a high level of quality of care for clients
  • Steward the mission, vision, values and beliefs of StepOne with all interactions in role.

Assessment, Treatment Planning, Progress Monitoring, and Compliance

  • Complete evidence-based assessments, reassessments, and report results per deadlines
  • Assess the client and family’s strengths, needs, abilities, preferences and goals
  • Consult with clients and provide continuous program direction and maintenance
  • Review, monitor, and evaluate treatment integrity of clinical team to ensure optimal implementation of treatment protocols
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans (ITPs) based on assessment results and best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Assess effectiveness of treatment plans and performance of Technicians
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to track progress and modify interventions as needed
  • Regularly update treatment plans and goals based on progress of clients and ensure interventions are effective, demonstrated by client progress and skill acquisition
  • Supervise delivery of therapy in mutually agreed upon environments such as clinic, home, school, and/or community based on the client’s needs

Staff Supervision and Compliance

  • Provide direct and indirect supervision to Technician staff, ensuring fidelity of program implementation.
  • Train and support Technician staff in effective intervention techniques, data collection, and client interaction.
  • Conduct regular supervisions to discuss client progress, troubleshoot challenges, and modify intervention strategies with staff in compliance with state regulations.
  • Oversee Technician staff, ensuring the client and family experience is high quality and reflective of StepOne standards and principles
  • Review Technician staff session notes and coach staff on any adjustments needed to ensure quality documentation.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Serve as a point-of-contact and coordinator for team meetings involving Technicians, healthcare professionals, clients, and caregivers
  • Actively participate in regular clinical meetings, as needed
  • Engage caregivers and facilitate skill transfer in a manner most appropriate for the care of the client
  • Lead client meetings to provide guidance and training to caregivers

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Valid LBS in PA
  • Demonstrated ABA experience as an LBS with supervisory roles preferred
  • Experience with assessment and report writing experience
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with staff and families, collaborative, and team-oriented
  • Compassionate, empathic, and caring with a great determination to succeed
  • Interest in technical innovations being applied to behavior therapy

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing – including frequent talking, hearing, writing, typing, reading, and significant comprehension. This role assists with working with young children that will regularly require moving quickly, crouching, and sitting on the floor. The employee frequently is also required to sit, stand, walk briskly, use hands, and reach with arms/hands. Regular and consistent attendance required.
