STEAMUP Academy is a STEM-accredited learning center offering hands-on programs in robotics, coding, and engineering. Our approach focuses on practical, project-based learning that helps students develop real-world skills and confidence in STEM.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated STEM Instructor to lead in-person Saturday classes. This role is ideal for college students looking to gain hands-on teaching experience while strengthening their technical and communication skills.

You will work directly with students in a structured, engaging environment, guiding them through robotics builds and introductory programming concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, structured STEM sessions every Saturday
  • Guide students in building and programming robots
  • Teach foundational programming concepts (Python; HTML is a plus)
  • Support students in completing hands-on projects
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues with robotics builds
  • Maintain a focused and well-managed classroom environment
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM-related program (Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Robotics, etc.)
  • 2nd or 3rd year college students are encouraged to apply
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Robotics platforms (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
    • Programming (Python preferred; HTML is a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and able to commit to a consistent weekly Saturday schedule
  • Comfortable working with students of varying skill levels

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience
  • Experience working with school-aged students
  • Personal or academic projects in robotics or coding
