About Thought GPS
Thought GPS is a location-based audio storytelling app that lets creators attach voice clips to real-world places. Listeners can discover stories, tours, memories, comedy, history, local recommendations, and campus experiences tied to the places around them.
We are an early-stage startup building a new way for people to experience cities, campuses, neighborhoods, and cultural spaces through GPS-triggered audio.
Internship Overview
Thought GPS is seeking a Campus Brand Ambassador Intern to help introduce the app to students, creators, clubs, and campus communities. This role is ideal for a student who is outgoing, creative, and interested in startups, marketing, campus engagement, creator platforms, and community building.
The intern will support grassroots growth by promoting Thought GPS on campus, encouraging students to try the app, gathering feedback, and helping identify opportunities for campus-based audio routes, tours, and storytelling experiences.
Responsibilities
- Promote Thought GPS to students, clubs, creators, and campus organizations
- Help drive app downloads, signups, and early user engagement
- Introduce the app to student groups, campus creators, tour guides, student media, and local community organizations
- Share flyers, QR codes, social posts, and other promotional materials
- Help organize small outreach efforts, demos, or campus activation ideas
- Gather student feedback on the app experience and report key insights
- Identify interesting campus locations that could become audio stops or routes
- Encourage students to create or listen to GPS-based audio stories and tours
- Track basic outreach activity, feedback, and results
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, proactive, and comfortable talking to other students. Prior brand ambassador experience is helpful but not required.
Strong candidates may have experience or interest in:
- Campus clubs, student government, Greek life, athletics, student media, or event promotion
- Social media marketing or content sharing
- Community outreach or peer-to-peer promotion
- Apps, startups, creator platforms, travel, storytelling, or local discovery
- Public speaking, tabling, demos, or student engagement
- Collecting feedback and sharing insights clearly
