Role: Analyst (Entry-Level)
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Analyst to support business and system processes within a higher education environment. This role involves working closely with student-related functional areas and supporting system operations, data analysis, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have exposure to student lifecycle functions such as Student Administration, Student Recruitment/Admissions, Student Accounting, or Financial Aid, along with a strong willingness to learn and work with enterprise systems like Banner ERP (Ellucian) or other Student Information Systems (SIS).

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science (with relevant functional exposure), Finance, Economics, Operations or Supply Chain Management, Commerce (B.Com), Human Resources, Public Administration, Education Administration, Higher Education Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. Candidates from other academic backgrounds may also be considered if they have relevant experience in higher education and exposure to student lifecycle processes such as Student Administration, Student Recruitment, Student Accounting, or Financial Aid.

 

Experience (Required)

0–2 years of experience, including internships, in a higher education institution or related domain supporting student processes. 

Candidates must have hands-on or functional exposure to at least one of the following areas: Student Administration (records, enrollment, scheduling), Student Recruitment/Admissions, Student Accounting (billing, tuition, payments), or Financial Aid (loans, grants, compliance). 

Exposure to Banner (Ellucian) or similar SIS platforms is highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations related to student systems and processes
  • Analyze and troubleshoot functional or system issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across admissions, finance, and administrative teams
  • Maintain and update data ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Document processes, workflows, and system requirements
  • Assist in system enhancements, testing, and implementation activities
  • Generate reports and support data-driven decision-making

 

Skills & Competencies

Functional Knowledge:
Basic understanding of student lifecycle processes in higher education and familiarity with admissions, administration, or financial workflows.

Technical Aptitude:
Strong interest in learning ERP/SIS platforms (Banner preferred) and basic knowledge of data handling/reporting.

Analytical & Problem-Solving:
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and provide solutions.

Communication:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Teamwork & Initiative:
Collaborative team player with a proactive, self-driven attitude, a positive mindset, and eagerness to learn and grow.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or other ERP/SIS platforms
  • Prior experience in a higher education environment
  • Understanding of compliance or regulatory processes related to Financial Aid or Student Accounting
