Student Assistant Intern (Kings County)
Description:
Student Assistant interns will work in the office and occasionally at a taxpayer or representative's location assisting Taxation and Finance auditors in the duties related to the audits of the taxpayers' books and records (both individual and business). This will include understanding how to apply the tax law and regulations, research, reviewing taxpayer supplied documentation and assisting in the determination of the correct tax due. The candidate should be able to work 10 to 30 hours per week; preferably working either two or three days a week. Extended hours may be available during school breaks and summer. The candidate may be requested to travel during the internship when their schedule allows. Some of the travel may be overnight.
The candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting.
