You will serve as a GEOGRAPHER at Naval Base Coronado in the Public Works Directorate of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties
- You will utilize ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro software to undertake feature editing, geospatial analysis, and create cartographic products.
- You will manage the administrator roles for an enterprise GIS and oversee a web-based mapping system.
- You will serve as a technical advisor to the GIS Manager and participates on US Navy-wide GIS teams as assigned.
- You will review and analyzes issues and problems for all assigned installations and organization components to ensure extensive and complete merging of functional concerns affecting the accomplishment of projects.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Demonstrates critical knowledge and experience related to the software leveraged for day-to-day operations. 2. Experience in developing mapping products by transferring data elements visually. 3. Ability to demonstrate understanding of basic GIS project/task management and vetting support requirements. 4. Ability to effectively analyze, research and communicate spatial and non-spatial data, in order to deliver Geospatial products and Services.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
