Job Title: Life Enrichment Aide (Part-Time)

Pay: $18.00/ hour

Schedule: Part-Time (2–3 days/week), highly flexible hours

Target Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

About Us

Vista on 5th is a non-profit assisted living and memory care community serving 127 low-income seniors in Upper Manhattan. Our mission focuses on resident advocacy, quality of life, and healthcare compliance. We are looking for an energetic, community-minded individual to join our team.

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Aide provides crucial floor support during our community programming and special events. Working directly alongside our Director and full-time administrative staff, you will help execute daily therapeutic activities that meet state healthcare quality-of-care standards. You will always have full team support on the floor—you will not be working alone.

Key Responsibilities

Event & Floor Support: Provide hands-on assistance during community initiatives and special event days to ensure a safe, organized, and engaging environment.

DOH Compliance Support: Assist in running daily recreational programs that satisfy New York State Department of Health (DOH) quality-of-care mandates.

Resident Advocacy: Interact directly with a diverse population of seniors, including those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, ensuring their dignity and rights are supported.

Logistics & Resource Management: Help organize, inventory, and distribute community materials and corporate donations used for resident programming.

Qualifications

Ideal for students in Pre-Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or related fields.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mindset.

Comfortable working in a lively environment during event days.

Passion for working with older adults and advocating for underserved communities.
