Job Title: Procurement & Supply Chain Intern

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement & Supply Chain Intern to join our Supply Chain team. This internship offers hands-on experience in purchasing operations, supplier coordination, reporting, and process improvement activities. The selected candidate will work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain leaders and gain exposure to supplier management, procurement systems, and cross-functional business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support purchase order (PO) activities including tracking open orders, confirmations, and delivery updates
Follow up with suppliers on delayed orders and critical shortages
Maintain procurement trackers and reports for purchasing activities
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on:
On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance
Lead time tracking
Past-due order analysis
Supply risk reporting
Perform data validation and maintain supplier/material information
Support inventory analysis by reviewing stock levels, shortages, and excess inventory trends
Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance teams to resolve supply issues
Assist with process improvement initiatives, including:
Improving manual processes through Excel and digital tools
Standardizing templates and reporting
Creating and updating SOP documentation
Support supplier performance tracking and procurement analytics
Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Procurement team
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
Internship or project experience in supply chain or data analysis is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas and data analysis preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic ERP knowledge (SAP preferred) is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of procurement and supply chain concepts
Team collaboration and proactive learning mindset
Knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement principles preferred
