Graphic Design Intern

Are you a designer eager to put your creativity to work on projects people will actually see? As our Graphic Design Intern, you’ll create banners, social graphics, marketing materials, icons, and web assets that bring the GlowUp ACS brand to life.

You’ll build real portfolio material while learning how design supports a mission-driven organization—from concept and brainstorming through polished, on-brand deliverables.

About GlowUp ACS — GlowUp ACS is a New Jersey–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to close the “experience paradox”: the catch-22 where entry-level roles require experience that early-career talent hasn’t yet had the chance to build. As an Associate Intern, you’ll contribute to real, meaningful work on live projects. This is an unpaid role, and we follow all applicable U.S. and university guidelines for unpaid internships; documentation to support college credit is available upon request. We value self-starters who communicate openly and thrive in a flexible, collaborative, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design graphics for banners, social media, and marketing channels.
• Create icons and visual assets using tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Contribute to creative brainstorms and concept development.
• Edit, adapt, and repurpose existing templates and brand assets.
• Help maintain visual consistency across projects.

What You’ll Need

• Access to design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
• A portfolio or samples of previous design work (available upon request).
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Reliable computer/laptop with sufficient storage, stable Wi-Fi, and a webcam/microphone.
