Talent Acquisition Co-op
Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Intern will support the Human Resources team with recruiting initiatives, candidate engagement, and day-to-day talent acquisition activities. This internship provides hands-on experience throughout the recruitment process, offering exposure to sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, employer branding, and HR operations. It is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in building a career in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with posting job openings across various recruiting platforms.
- Review resumes and help identify qualified candidates for open positions.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Support candidate sourcing efforts through LinkedIn, job boards, career fairs, and other recruiting channels.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing onboarding materials and ensuring required documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Participate in recruiting events, career fairs, and other talent acquisition initiatives as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team, including filing, data entry, and special projects.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Interview Scheduling
Schedule 95% of interviews within 1 business day of receiving candidate and hiring manager availability.
Communication
Respond to candidate, agency and manager emails within 1 business day.
Candidate Sourcing
Source 10–20 qualified candidates per week (or as assigned based on recruiting needs).
Onboarding Preparation
Prepare 100% of onboarding packets prior to each new hire's start date.
Administrative Tasks
Complete assigned administrative tasks by the requested due date 95% of the time.
Attendance & Reliability
Maintain 95% or greater attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Initiative
Complete at least one process improvement or recruiting project during the internship.
Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited four-year degree program pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, and Human Resources.
- This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week onsite (schedule may be adjusted to accommodate class schedules).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information
