Job Title: Program Manager Intern
Reports To: Director Program Management
Status: Intern
Nature of Work:
As a member of the Program Management staff reporting to the Sr. Director of Program Management, this position is responsible for business development and customer satisfaction as the primary point of contact for all company/client information exchange.
As their client’s “Champion”, Program Managers are responsible for understanding and managing the program needs and perceptions of the client and effectively coordinating and facilitating activities throughout the Cal-Comp organization to satisfy client expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mentorship from experienced program managers
- Assist with managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between PMO and purchasing/planning team, and production team
- Assist with coordinating contract review, bills of material review, and quotation activities with functional departments for new products, product enhancements, and product re-design
- Support program managers by reviewing status of projects; manage schedules and prepare status reports
- Gain exposure to the process of developing timelines, resourcing, cross-functional communication and more
- Assist with the daily operations within the customer focus teams to ensure deliverables are met
- Assist with preparing meeting agendas, recaps, and action-item trackers
- Take notes in internal reviews/meetings and communicate next steps for internal team members
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety and company policies and procedures
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting with adequate lighting and controlled temperature. The role requires time on the production floor, including standing, walking and observing processes.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled full-time and pursuing and undergraduate or graduate degree
- Major in Business Management (preferred)
- Strong academic performance (GPA preferred)
- Effective verbal, written and communication skills
- Attention to detail, genuine desire to learn, and positive attitude
- Be available to work 8am-1pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
- Experience with understanding Microsoft Office
