MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CO-OP
Co-op opportunity for Mechanical Engineering majors. Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering with a dual major or minor in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred. A co-op in this position will work within the Product R&D Centers of Excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advanced product concept R&D • Product phase reviews, product DFMEAs, and project management
- Test fixture design and fabrication - hardware and software • Special systems and modules design
- Product validation and troubleshooting in laboratory and • Materials analysis and testing
vehicle environments • CAD/CAE analysis and PLM systems
- Oversee inventory, assembly, and coordination of testing with technicians • Product application development, road test, and customer demos

Troubleshooting, debug, root cause analysis, resolve equipment • Customer and supplier new product development and current support
reliability issues
• Assist in translating customer requirements into new products
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Currently attending an accredited college or university
- 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
- Design Tools - Pro-Engineer, IDEAS/ NX Solid Modeling, TeamCenter PLM
- Fluency in English, German, & Spanish is a plus
- Methods - FMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, • Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and
Instrumentation simple electronic systems
- Analysis Tools - MATLAB, Minitab, • Hands on skills with mechanical tools, shop
Dasylab, AMESim equipment and trucks
- Computer Language - HTML/Visual Basic • Proficient in Microsoft® Office Tools - Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
GENERAL INFORMATION
Hours and Location: 40-hour work week on-site in Avon, Ohio Pay Rate: $19 - $26/hour (contingent upon credit hours)
