Investor Relations
Job Title: Investor Relations
Company: KinnectCare
Employment Type: Part-time
Location: Remote
Work Authorization: Open to candidates anywhere; candidates with ties to India, Nigeria, and/or the Philippines especially encouraged to apply
About KinnectCare
KinnectCare is building the health platform for diaspora families, the millions of people raising their lives in one country while their parents grow old in another. We turn the ordinary video calls families already make with aging parents into early wellness signals, unify medical records across borders, and keep the whole family and their clinicians on one shared timeline.
We're pre-seed and building toward launch, with 250 families on the waitlist and pilot corridors live across the US, India, the Philippines, Nigeria, and the UK. Both founders are living this problem in real time, caring for their own parents abroad.
The Role
You will own how KinnectCare shows up to the people who fund it. Not a CRM. The relationships. This is the job for someone who wants to build an investor function, in a company raising its first real capital with a story worth telling well. One week you are building the pipeline and getting us in front of the right angels and funds. The next you are preparing the founders for a pitch, writing the update that keeps a warm investor warm, or turning a "let's stay in touch" into a check. You will be the connective tissue between the company and its capital. You will own the pipeline. You will be trusted before you feel ready. That is the point.
What you'll do
- Own the investor pipeline end-to-end: sourcing, research, outreach, tracking, follow-ups, and scheduling.
- Build and maintain the data room, the investor updates, and every material an investor sees before and after the raise.
- Research and target the right investors, the angels, funds, and operators who back mission-driven health and diaspora-focused companies.
- Prep the founders for meetings: briefs on who they're talking to, the questions to expect, and the follow-through afterward.
- Keep warm investors warm with sharp, consistent updates that make people want to lean in.
- Build the systems and cadence that let a two-person founding team run a real raise without dropping a thread.
- Do the unglamorous work that makes everything else possible. No task is beneath anyone here.
What we're looking for
- Sharp relationship builder, you're credible and warm with investors, operators, and partners
- Exceptional organization, nothing slips, every follow-up happens, every thread gets closed
- Strong written communication, you can make a company's story land in a paragraph
- Resourceful and self-directed, you find the right people and the way in rather than wait to be told
- Comfortable with ambiguity and constant context-switching, no playbook required
- Genuine care for the mission, bonus if you've lived the cross-border caregiving experience yourself
Nice to have
- Experience in venture, fundraising, IR, or a founder-facing role at an early-stage startup
- An existing network among angels, funds, or operators in health, AI, or diaspora-focused companies
- Comfort with the numbers behind a raise, models, cap tables, and use-of-funds
A note on Stage and Compensation
We're currently at the pre-seed stage, so we want to be transparent that this position is unpaid for now. We'll be upfront about the tradeoffs of joining this early, while looking for someone who's excited by the opportunity to build with us from the ground floor.
