Social Media and Website/Blog Intern

SlapStik Comedy Entertainment is a comedy media company based in Columbus, Ohio. We publish SlapStik Comedy Magazine and produce digital content across social media, YouTube, and our website. We are building a multi platform comedy brand and we are looking for a reliable intern to help keep our content engine consistent and organized.

Position overview
This internship supports content publishing across our website, blog, and social media channels. You will help keep comedyslaps.com updated, publish and format blog posts, and schedule and post content to our social platforms and YouTube. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys digital media, content organization, and keeping things current and polished.

Internship details
Unpaid internship This is an unpaid internship. Please do not apply if you are seeking a paid internship or paid employment.
• 10 hours per week
• Weekly team meeting required every Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST, except on holidays
• Weekly social media meeting required every Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST
• Remote-friendly

Responsibilities
• Update and maintain ComedySlaps.com, including basic page edits, uploads, and corrections
• Publish blog posts and organize content using categories, tags, images, and basic formatting
• Create and schedule social media posts using content provided by the team
• Upload and maintain YouTube content, including titles, descriptions, playlists, and basic channel organization
• Ensure links, embeds, images, and media display correctly across the website and social platforms
• Track published and scheduled content in a simple content log
• Bring content needs, concerns, or technical issues to the weekly meeting with clear notes and suggested solutions

Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand and posting guidelines
• Experience working in Canva
• Comfortable working in WordPress and common social media platforms, or willing to learn quickly
• Basic understanding of YouTube posting and content organization
• Strong communication skills and dependable follow-through
• Able to work independently and manage time within a 10-hour-per-week schedule
• Must be available to attend the required Sunday meeting
