Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Allergy

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Job Type: Part-Time

Compensation: $42.00–$48.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

Integrated ENT Allergy & Immunology is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Allergy & Immunology team. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced specialty practice providing exceptional care to pediatric and adult patients with ENT, allergy, asthma, and immunologic conditions.

The RN/LPN will provide direct patient care, perform allergy testing, administer immunotherapy, monitor patient safety, educate patients and families, and collaborate closely with physicians and the clinical team to deliver outstanding patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform allergy testing, including environmental, food, medication, venom, and other physician-ordered diagnostic testing.

· Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and monitor patients in accordance with established clinical protocols.

· Recognize, assess, and respond appropriately to allergic reactions and medical emergencies, including anaphylaxis.

· Perform pulmonary function testing and other diagnostic procedures as directed.

· Assist physicians during food challenges, medication challenges, desensitization procedures, and other specialty services.

· Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and other clinical information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

· Provide patient education regarding allergy testing, immunotherapy, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

· Prepare examination and treatment rooms while maintaining infection prevention and control standards.

· Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.

· Coordinate patient care with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.

· Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention standards, and all applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations.

· Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information.

· Perform additional clinical duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

· Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.

· Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

· Previous experience in Allergy & Immunology, ENT, Pulmonology, Pediatrics, Primary Care, or another outpatient specialty practice preferred but not required.

· Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

· Strong understanding of medication administration, patient assessment, and clinical documentation.

· Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
