Principal Data Architect – Data Architecture & Solution Engineering

Rate: $65/hr C2C

Contract Duration: 6–12 months, with potential conversion to full-time

Location: 100% Remote – EST/CST Time Zones Only

Work Hours: EST Hours Required

Work Authorization: US Citizens and Green Card Holders Only

Assessment Required: ROPES Assessment (Mandatory)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Data Architect with strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, data design, AI, and solution engineering. The ideal candidate must be a strong and proactive Data Architect who can develop and execute data strategies across complex technology transformation initiatives.

The role will focus on designing data architectures from transactional systems of record through data consumption and AI-driven business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data strategies at the business-unit level.
• Design end-to-end data architectures from transactional systems of record through AI-driven business intelligence.
• Provide data technology leadership, oversight, and guidance to ensure solutions follow architecture principles and standards.
• Perform detailed Buy vs. Build analysis and provide recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative evaluation.
• Lead and participate in architecture design reviews, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Drive data modernization opportunities across complex technology environments.
• Develop data architecture guardrails, standards, and guidelines.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Engineering and Product teams.
• Architect AI-driven business intelligence solutions using a Universal Semantic Layer, predictive analytics, and Natural Language Queries.
• Partner with application development teams to resolve technical challenges, including performance and scalability issues.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reuse, scalability, and operational efficiency.
