Software Engineer — New Graduate
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our engineering team full-time. This position is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about software development, distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and building reliable products.
You will work closely with engineers, quantitative researchers, and product teams to design, develop, and deploy production-grade software systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
* Build backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and internal tools.
* Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
* Work with engineers and quantitative researchers to develop technology supporting research and production systems.
* Develop systems for processing, storing, and analyzing large datasets.
* Debug complex technical issues and improve system reliability and performance.
* Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, and deployment.
* Integrate third-party APIs, databases, cloud services, and internal systems.
* Improve development infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and CI/CD workflows.
* Translate technical and business requirements into robust software solutions.
* Continuously evaluate new technologies and engineering practices that can improve system performance and developer productivity.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
* Recent graduate or graduating student with 0–2 years of professional experience.
* Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, Java, C++, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Strong understanding of:
* Data structures and algorithms
* Object-oriented and/or functional programming
* Databases and data modeling
* Software engineering principles
* Version control and collaborative development
* Experience building software projects through coursework, internships, research, or independent projects.
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C++, or Go.
* Familiarity with React, Node.js, FastAPI, Django, or similar frameworks.
* Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or other databases.
* Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD.
* Experience developing REST APIs or distributed systems.
* Experience with data engineering, machine learning infrastructure, or financial technology.
* Familiarity with Git, Linux, testing frameworks, and software development workflows.
* Experience working with AI/ML systems or integrating LLM APIs is a plus.
