The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF) is hiring for a full-time Director of Nursing 2. This position is located in our Central Office, within the Health Management and Oversight (HMO) division.
If you have at least three (3) years working in an administrative or supervisory capacity within a healthcare or hospital nursing while as a Registered Nurse, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- LOCATION: Hartford, CT with a hybrid work schedule
- SHIFT: Full-time | 40 hours per week | first-shift
- SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, with flexibility for weekly operational needs.

YOUR ROLE
The Director of Nursing 2 position oversees the medical consultative work in collaboration with the Director of Pediatrics and provides clinical oversight for the agency in the HMO Division. In this role, the Director of Nursing 2 assists with:
- Establishing health regulations, policies, practice and nursing standards of practice.
- Providing supervisory oversight of DCFs Health Advocates, who assist with issues related to health insurance.
- Overseeing the establishing and monitoring of congregate care nursing and medication administration guidelines in DCF licensed facilities.
- Providing nursing consultation, as needed, to DCF staff related to complex medical cases.
- Overseeing the multidisciplinary and Child Abuse Providers' contracts.
