Talent Booking and Management Intern
Position Overview
MC Events is seeking motivated, detail-oriented college students to join The Distance Agency, our live music booking and artist management division, as a Talent Booking & Management Intern.
This role provides an opportunity for students interested in music, entertainment, talent management, or business development to gain real-world exposure to the live music industry and the day to day of running a talent agency.
The Distance Agency represents and books touring artists across the country, working directly with venues, festivals, colleges, and fairs to build out routing and pitch talent. Interns work closely with our Booking Coordinator on live, active deals rather than hypothetical projects.
In addition to the commission opportunity, interns will have direct mentorship from our Booking Coordinator and exposure to the full booking pipeline, from cold outreach to signed contract.
This role includes a required daily check-in with your Booking Coordinator, along with occasional meetings involving artists. Most of the work is done independently once you're trained.

Students studying music business, arts administration, communications, marketing, or entrepreneurship are especially encouraged to apply, but all majors are welcome.
Compensation
This role is unpaid or eligible for academic credit, with commission paid on any booking the intern helps close.
Interns earn 50% of the total fee The Distance Agency keeps on each booking they help close.
Compensation is based on commissions earned from successful bookings, in addition to the mentorship and experience gained through the internship.
