Behavior Aide - K-12 Special Education Classrooms

Locations: Stockton, CA and Lodi, CA
Pay Rate: $18-$21 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: Between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

Position Overview

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Aides to support K-12 students in Special Education (SPED) classrooms throughout Stockton and Lodi, California. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students achieve academic, behavioral, and social success in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioral and developmental needs
  • Assist students in meeting individualized academic and behavioral goals
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by school staff
  • Support students in developing positive social and communication skills
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals
  • Document student progress and behavioral observations as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain patient, professional, and adaptable in a classroom environment
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Ability to successfully complete all required employment screenings
