Intern, Financial Analyst

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

 

JOB TITLE: Intern – Financial Analyst            

REQUISITION: COR002W

DEPARTMENT: Financial Analytics – F&M Service Center or Topeka General Office

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO or Topeka, KS                                          

PAY RANGE: $19.00 - $23.00 / Hour

 

Internship Position for Summer 2027

 

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Intern Description:

This position will report to a manager inside the Financial Planning and Performance organization.  This group supports the budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting for the company 

 

Job tasks include but not limited to:

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and variance analysis by comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts. 
  • Gather, organize, and summarize financial and operational performance metrics. 
  • Help create and maintain project funding records and related documentation. 
  • Compile and analyze financial data to support decision-making and business initiatives.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in a university focusing in either accounting or finance. 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Data analysis and problem-solving 
  • Cross-functional collaboration 
  • Professional communication and presentation skills 
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience

 

Working Conditions:

Normal office working conditions (40 hour week), hybrid work schedule.
