Summer 2027 Internship: Process Analytics - Technology Supply and Delivery Team
QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.
Position Summary
The Process Analytics Intern will support the Technology Delivery team in identifying, analyzing, and improving operational workflows across IT Asset Management, Infrastructure Projects, and PMO functions. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate passionate about data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in mapping and analyzing current business processes across Technology Delivery programs (e.g., ITAM, Infrastructure, PMO Support).
Collect and interpret operational data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
Support the development of process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and validate proposed process changes.
Participate in pilot projects and process improvement initiatives, including intake workflows and lifecycle tracking.
Help build dashboards and reports using tools like Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to visualize performance and impact.
Contribute to the standardization of terminology and data collection practices for forecasting and workload planning.
Attend team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions focused on strategic pillars such as lifecycle management, ROI, and compliance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Must be a US Citizen
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and process mapping software (Visio, Lucidchart).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
Prior internship or project experience in technology delivery or analytics.
Interest in IT operations, project management, and continuous improvement.
