Finance & Bookkeeping Assistant — Divino Seas (Academic Credit Internship)
About Divino Seas Divino Seas is a Miami-based luxury swimwear brand known for elevated design and a fast-growing wholesale and DTC presence. We're formalizing our financial operations and looking for someone detail-oriented to help build that infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support AI-assisted and QuickBooks-based bookkeeping for a real, multi-million-dollar consumer brand
- Reconcile invoices and payments in QuickBooks
- Track outstanding wholesale invoices and follow up on payment status
- Support the transition from informal payment tracking to a structured invoicing system
- Assist with basic expense tracking and reporting
- Flag discrepancies for review before they become problems
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in school (undergraduate or graduate) in accounting, finance, or a related program, and able to receive academic credit for this internship (please confirm with your program before applying)
- Comfort with QuickBooks or similar software (or strong willingness to learn fast)
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted accounting tools alongside traditional bookkeeping
- High attention to detail and comfort handling sensitive financial information
- Trustworthy and discreet
What You'll Learn This is a rare opportunity: hands-on exposure to the real books of an active multi-million-dollar company — not a case study or simulation. You'll learn how AI tools are changing modern bookkeeping, how QuickBooks operates at real transaction volume, wholesale invoicing, and how financial systems scale with a business. Very few student bookkeeping roles offer access to books at this scale.
Compensation: Unpaid for academic credit. This is a 60-day trial period; based on performance, there may be an opportunity to continue in a paid role afterward, though this is not guaranteed.
Internship Disclosure This is an unpaid internship intended for educational purposes and open to currently enrolled students. It is designed to provide training, skill development, and mentorship comparable to what would be offered in an educational environment, and the intern is the primary beneficiary of the arrangement. This position does not displace paid staff, and the intern is not entitled to wages for time spent. This internship does not guarantee or imply future paid employment with Divino Seas; any future opportunities will be considered separately and are not promised as part of this role.
