DESCRIPTION OF WORK

 

 

This position supports wide ranging administrative functions that help the Department of Banking and Securities maintain organized and efficient operations. The role works closely with agency leadership and contributes to many internal projects and processes. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Policy Support: Assist in developing, reviewing, and recommending updates to agency administrative policies
  • Sustainability Leadership: Lead the GreenGov Sustainability Team and prepare annual conservation and efficiency checklists
  • Docket Management: Serve as Docket Clerk, maintaining all docket files, scheduling hearing officers, and organizing records and notices
  • Intranet and Website Oversight: Manage and update agency intranet content and coordinate updates to the external website
  • IT and Property Coordination: Track IT inventory, handle onboarding and offboarding property tasks, and maintain records of equipment and badges
  • Accessibility and Records Support: Coordinate accessibility efforts, support records management, and assist with reporting and compliance

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
