About AB Private Credit Investors

AB Private Credit Investors (“AB-PCI”) is the private corporate credit investment platform of AllianceBernstein.  AB-PCI manages $26+ billion of capital and advises private credit and equity funds for institutional and high net worth investors. AB-PCI provides unique and flexible capital solutions to private corporate borrowers across various industry sectors to support debt financing needs for acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, and growth investments. We seek to deliver attractive risk-adjusted investor returns by investing in unitranche, first lien and second lien debt, as well as private equity co-investments and structured preferred stock. The group maintains a strong credit culture and pursues a highly selective investment process based on fundamental due diligence and a focus on transaction terms and documentation.

Internship Description

  • This internship is best suited for candidates who are interested in learning about and pursuing a career in investment banking or buy-side investing such as private equity or private credit.
  • The intern selected will experience an immersive, comprehensive, and finance-centric internship program that involves corporate credit analysis, financial modeling, and valuation skill building.
  • The candidate will sit within investment teams and actively participate in the loan origination / underwriting and the investment decision making process.
  • The training, transaction exposure, and networking this internship offers will prepare the candidate well for a career track in investment banking or another area of alternative investments.

 

Job Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree candidates with demonstrated excellence in academics 

  • Preference for May 2029 graduates (Rising Juniors), but will consider Rising Seniors
  • Preference for Finance majors, but will consider other technical business tracks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrate good judgment and attention to detail, ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Work well independently as well as within a team
  • Strong work ethic and desire to explore a career path in investment banking, private equity, or private credit
  • Ability to thoughtfully assemble and analyze data, working comfortably in Excel and PowerPoint
