Northern Light Health is seeking an experienced healthcare leader to join our team as Director of Quality, based at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.

About the Role
This is a key leadership position at Northern Light Health. You'll help shape and advance quality strategy across Northern Light Mayo, Sebasticook Valley, and CA Dean Hospitals. The scope includes oversight of patient experience, patient safety, risk management, and medical staff quality — work that directly affects the care thousands of patients receive each year.
What You'll Do
- Lead and advance the quality strategy across three hospitals: Northern Light Mayo, Sebasticook Valley, and CA Dean.- Oversee patient experience initiatives, setting direction and holding teams accountable for measurable improvement.- Drive patient safety programs, identifying risks and implementing evidence-based solutions.- Manage risk management functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and proactive issue resolution.- Provide oversight of medical staff quality, collaborating closely with clinical leaders and physicians.- Build a culture of continuous improvement using data, process improvement methodology, and frontline engagement.- Serve as a collaborative partner to hospital leadership, translating quality data into actionable strategy.
About You
Required:- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a clinical specialty- 5–7 years of professional experience in healthcare quality or a related field- 3–5 years of progressive management experience
Preferred:- Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field- Demonstrated experience leading quality and process improvement initiatives in a hospital or health system setting- Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission) and regulatory requirements
