Internship - Accounting
$20.50 per hour | In Person reporting to Duluth, MN

What you'll do
- Gain valuable real-world experience by working alongside ALLETE accounting professionals across multiple disciplines, expanding your network and understanding of the field.
- Explore a variety of accounting functions through project-based assignments, including financial statement preparation and reporting, general accounting, accounts payable, budgeting, property accounting, and cash reporting, while developing skills that support future career growth.
What you'll bring
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting with an expected graduation date between December 2027 to June 2028
How to stand out
- Have basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite Skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have the ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations
Details & Duration of Internship
- This internship will be reporting in person to Duluth, MN
- This role is expected to begin January 2027.
- This internship will be part-time during the academic year (10-20 hours per week) and full-time during the summer. Based on business needs and the intern’s availability, the internship may be extended on a part-time basis through graduation.
- ALLETE will comply with college requirements.
- Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs.
