MBA/Graduate - Private Investment Grade and Private High Yield Credit Internship - Summer 2027

POSITION DESCRIPTION

A Private Investment Grade and High Yield Credit Intern is offered the opportunity to support the research and analysis functions of the Private Placement department which is focused on Investment Grade and High Yield Credit. This position will have daily interaction with portfolio managers and research analysts across the department. We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in a career in fixed income and a knowledge of investment analysis. Qualified candidates will have excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills in addition to strong academic achievement.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide research support for analyzing and underwriting credit investments.   
  • Monitoring credit risk and performance of existing investment holdings.
  • Perform independent research on industries and sectors within fixed income market.
  • Participate and contribute to all aspects of the investment process including meetings with issuers and management.
  • Participate in Investment Committee for new investments.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed first year of graduate program with a demonstrated history of strong academic performance.
  • Working knowledge of accounting, finance, corporate strategy, real estate and financial statistics.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to take work direction from various leaders as well as work independently.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel.  Experience with investment tools such as DealCloud, Accelex, Aladdin, and/or Bloomberg is a plus.
  • Ability to work full time during the summer.
