Job Description:

Government Relations is seeking a Summer Analyst to join their team in their Washington, DC office, with periodic travel to the NYC office throughout the summer. The Summer Analyst will support the Government Relations team with researching, monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory issues and their impact.

 

Summer Analyst Responsibilities May Include:

  • Providing analysis, writing, and editing support on policy memos and external communications.
  • Supporting editing/development of content/messaging (written docs, grassroots).
  • Conducting research and analyzing important policy issues for further dissemination and analysis.
  • Supporting thought-leadership opportunities and presentation development.
  • Coordinating and preparing for visits with Federal, State and City government and elected officials.
  • Work in close collaboration with our Government Relations advisors.
  • Monitor and analyze federal, state, and local legislative, regulatory, political, and policy developments across a range of sectors.
  • Prepare policy memos, briefing materials, and other written analyses for internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting special projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • A track record in successful professional relationship building and policy advocacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; used effectively distills complex technical information into clear messages that resonate with policy and regulatory audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy, politics, government, regulatory affairs, economics, communications, law, or a related field through coursework, internships, extracurricular activities, or prior work experience.

 

To be considered for the 2027 Summer Analyst Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Current undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Resume must include major, expected graduation month/year and GPA
  • Resume must be in PDF format

Expected annual base salary range:

 

$85,000 - $85,000

 

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
