We are seeking motivated, curious, and relationship-oriented students to join the Relation Insurance Internship Program. This hands-on program offers meaningful exposure to the insurance and risk management industry, while giving interns the opportunity to contribute to real business priorities, collaborate with professionals across the organization, and build skills for a successful career.

Whether your interests include sales, client service, marketing, operations, finance, analytics, human resources, technology, or another business function, this internship is designed to provide a strong foundation for professional growth.

Program Overview 

The Relation Insurance Internship Program provides emerging talent with a comprehensive introduction to our business, our clients, and the role relationships play in delivering exceptional service. Interns gain practical experience through department-specific projects, cross-functional collaboration, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Throughout the program, you will strengthen your business acumen, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills while learning how a national insurance and risk management organization supports clients and communities.

Typical Duration 

• 2-3 months

What You Will Do:

Contribute to Meaningful Projects

• Support department initiatives and day-to-day business activities. 
• Assist with research, data collection, reporting, presentations, and process documentation. 
• Help organize information, maintain records, and prepare materials for internal or client-facing use.
• Participate in projects that support operational efficiency, client service, growth, or strategic priorities.

Collaborate Across Teams 

• Work with colleagues across functions to understand how different teams contribute to client and business success. 
• Attend team meetings, collaborate on assignments, and communicate progress on assigned work.
• Support coordination of meetings, events, project timelines, and follow-up activities as needed.

Learn About the Industry

• Gain exposure to insurance, risk management, client service, and business operations. 
• Learn about the tools, systems, processes, and professional standards that support our work.
• Build an understanding of the role trusted relationships play in helping clients manage risk and achieve their goals.

Develop Professionally

Qualifications 

We are looking for candidates who are: 

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. 
• Pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or graduate degree in business, finance, marketing, communications, technology, human resources, risk management, or a related field. 
• Maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Curious, dependable, organized, and eager to learn. 
• Strong communicators who work well independently and collaboratively. 
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and taking initiative on assigned work. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with other business systems, data analysis, or project tools is a plus but not required. 
• Interested in exploring a career in insurance, risk management, business, or professional services.
