Investor Outreach
GreenTree is a asset management firm specializing in real estate investment banking in China. This is an onsite Shanghai or online/ remote internship. It is up to the applicant's discretion to choose a start and end date (the dates listed on the posting are flexible). You will be given a short finance quiz to test your background and passion in finance.

What you will learn:
How to identify the correct investors, how to prepare investment materials to send to them and how to communicate with them.
What you will do:
Investment Materials- Create investment materials for investors based on the different projects. You will learn what is important information to put into investment memos.
Research Investors And determine who is qualified based on our screening criteria. You will learn to identify the differences between the various investor types.
Investor Outreach- Send investors our investment materials and screen for qualified investors using our CRM and other systems. You will learn how to communicate with investors and how to answer their basic questions.
Other Finance tasks-Create financial models and prepare contracts will be assigned if you show strong finance and problem solving abilities.
Training/Mentorship:
Onboarding quizes, training materials and guides will be given throughout the internship. For every project, you will receive a a written or video guide and instructions, and its up to you to execute according to your training.
Training calls for difficult projects and financial concepts depending on the project.
Qualifications:
- Experience with excel and data manipulation in addition to Office business software
- Ability to solve problems independently after you have been given training
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, proactive work style
- Should be familiar with investment terms
- 1 year minimum of finance/business/accounting classes or relevant experience.
Pre-Interview Finance Quiz
- You will be given our investment materials and asked questions regarding finance terms and the materials. If you can understand the materials and pass the quiz, you will have an interview.
About GreenTree:
GreenTree is an asset manager that raises capital from Chinese and US/European/Hong Kong investors to purchase real estate in the Shanghai and surrounding regions. We purchase both the assets and do mergers and acquisitions of project companies. Our value add is project identification, acquisition negotiation, developer liquidity, strata asset pricing, property management and leasing solutions. GreenTree identifies and underwrites projects risk, pricing and strategies while simultaneously negotiating with the developer and 3rd party sales rep companies.
Technical and legal Information
The internship enrollment period is flexible. The expected hours is 20 per week for ~3 months. Upon completion you will receive an internship confirmation letter or you can apply to your school for internship credit. Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
