Intern - Sales Development Representative - Remote

Job Role and Responsibilities:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern will be responsible for booking meetings with prospective customers with the intent to bring in eventual closed business for the inside sales organization. A typical day involves cold calling into prospective customers and pitching VMware Carbon Black products, while also reaching out via email and LinkedIn messaging. You will be also be responding to inbound and outbound requests, speaking with partners, and prospecting into new accounts. You will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience via our sales model, while maximizing revenue and margin generation. We’re looking for people who love to win, have strong business ethics and great communication skills. 

Required Skills:
  • Currently pursing a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field of study
  • Excellent social and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • High interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and customer-facing environment
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative high-energy sales environment
  • Strong analytical skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Passionate about technology and how it is changing the world for the better, especially within the cloud computing technologies space
  • Hands on IT experience from either Internships, Co-Ops, Work Experience and/or Projects
  • Technical knowledge of or prior experience using VMware products
  • Prior client-facing work experience
