2022 Commercial Banking Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries Summer Analyst Program

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
2022 Commercial Banking Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries Summer Analyst Program

The Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) group at J.P. Morgan focuses on companies with annual revenue of $20 million to $500 million, as well as municipalities, and not-for-profit entities requiring both traditional banking services (lending and cash management), as well as investment banking products (including debt and equity capital markets, risk management derivatives, and corporate finance advisory). With more than 100 locations nation-wide, our local delivery model, coupled with the firm’s global resources, allows us to provide clients with customized, comprehensive solutions and exceptional service.

We want to introduce you to the many areas of direct client work across banking, treasury, and underwriting with client-facing work, as well as extensions of these functions through strategic project work and more. Our goal is to provide a robust, well-rounded experience for you to launch your career in the financial services industry! We will provide everything you need to be successful – from training and mentorship, to senior leader engagements, to projects that engage your current skills and help develop them further.

Working here means joining a collaborative, supportive team. We want your diverse perspective to help us develop the next wave of products and solutions for our clients.

How we’re organized:
MMBSI is organized into five regional groups (Northeast, Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and Pacific) and a variety of industry segments, including, but not limited to, Agribusiness, Life Sciences, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Not-for-profit, and Technology and Disruptive Commerce.

Summer Analysts supporting our regional groups will work with MMBSI Bankers, Underwriters, Treasury Officers and Product Partners who cover a variety of industries to provide a range of financing solutions and strategic advisory.

What to expect:
Our Summer Analyst Program will provide you with an introduction to client management, credit structuring, and cash management allowing you to develop the necessary skillset to become a successful Full-Time Analyst. The 9-week program will begin with a week of orientation and training, giving you foundational business knowledge you’ll build upon throughout the summer.

You will also have the opportunity to hear from and network with senior leaders and spend time with peers from programs across the bank at philanthropic and group events.

Upon successful completion of the internship program, you may receive an offer of full-time employment in our 2.5 year, full-time MMBSI Analyst Program.

If you’re passionate, curious, and ready to make an impact, we’re looking for you.

What’s Next?
Help us learn about you by submitting a complete and thoughtful application, which includes your resume. Your application and resume are ways for us to initially get to know you, so it’s important to complete all relevant application questions so we have as much information about you as possible.

After you confirm your application, we will review it to determine whether you meet certain required qualifications.

If you are advanced to the next step of the process, you’ll receive an email invitation to complete a series of 12 games through the Pymetrics platform. Pymetrics will allow you to showcase your potential beyond what you tell us in your resume and application form. It’s an additional data point that helps us gain a better understanding of who you are as an individual. It should take no longer than 25-35 minutes to complete. If you have already completed the Pymetrics games, you will have the opportunity to submit your gameplay results for this specific application without having to replay the games.

Following completion of Pymetrics, you’ll receive another email invitation to complete a video interview, powered by HireVue. This is your opportunity to further bring your resume to life and showcase your experience for our recruiting team and hiring managers.

Both Pymetrics and HireVue are required, and your application will not be considered for further review until you have completed them. We strongly encourage that you apply and complete these required elements as soon as possible, since programs will close as positions are filled.
