Quantum & Qiskit Developer Summer Intern (Graduate) 2022

Your Role and Responsibilities
Come build the future of quantum with us. As a software developer with IBM Quantum, your job will be to write code for the suite of quantum software tools and cloud services that are part of our full-stack approach to delivering IBM’s quantum computing systems to quantum application developers and research scientists. Areas of software development include quantum machine learning, quantum biology and health informatics, quantum algorithms for chemistry, quantum simulations, quantum optimization, quantum software architecturecloud microservices, and cloud APIs (among other areas).

Eligibility Requirements:
Please note candidates must be registered in a graduate program in order to be eligible for this internship. International students are eligible to apply. 

Students enrolled in an undergraduate program may apply to the Quantum & Qiskit Developer Summer Intern (Undergraduate): 2022 job requisite.

Quantum & Qiskit software developer summer interns will work at either the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY, USA), a workplace in New York City, or IBM Research — Almaden (San Jose, CA, USA) for up to twelve weeks during the summer of 2022.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience with the Python programming language
  • Experience in a graduate or undergraduate program related to software engineering or computer science

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Use of (or exposure to) the Qiskit quantum computing framework
  • Recognition as a Qiskit Advocate
  • Certification as an IBM Quantum Developer (Quantum Computation using Qiskit)
