IT Summer College Intern - Atlassian Platform System Administrator

Position Specific Description
In this role, you gain hands-on system administration experience on a large Atlassian platform installation. You’ll work alongside our team to help manage a 5,000 user Data Center instance of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Crowd. You’ll also gain exposure to Agile software development practices and AWS cloud services.
 
What you’ll do:
  • System administration of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Crowd
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, integration, and system issues
  • Upgrade Atlassian applications in a multi-node environment
  • Manage and change JVM settings
  • Create and maintain AWS compute assets, such as EC2 (Windows and Linux), RDS, ALB, FSx, Security Groups
  • Create and modify system components, such as projects, spaces, workflows, custom fields, screen schemes
  • Use Jira reporting capabilities, including Rich Filters, Dataplane, and eazyBI, to create metric and reporting dashboards

Required Qualifications: High School Graduate/ Working toward bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Engineering

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
