Editorial Assistant Summer Intern

Meet Our Team:
As part of the Content Marketing Team and reporting to the editor for Pega’s marketing blog, you will support our in-house content creation and management operations with writing, editing, proofreading, content maintenance, and content archiving.

What You’ll Do at Pega:
  • - Working with an editor, assist with editorial operations, such as:
  • - Headline creation.
  • -  Image selection.
  • - Drafting promotional copy for social posts.
  • - Copyediting/proofreading.
  • - Maintenance of existing content

  • Collaborating with the editor, author original content.
  • Based on interest, writing ability, and availability, opportunity to write and publish marketing blog content that creates brand awareness and supports marketing initiatives.
 
Who You Are:
You enjoy thinking both analytically and creatively. You are someone who likes to write and has demonstrated experience writing and editing through coursework or independent activities. But you’re also interested in learning how marketing departments determine what type of stories to tell and how that process is managed from initial conversations to the content’s end-of-life. You like to collaborate, are eager to contribute, and invite feedback on your work.

  • - Working towards a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • - Outstanding written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • - Familiarity with AP Style.
  • - Familiarity with Google Analytics.
  • - Drive for continuous learning and development.
