Encova Insurance, formerly Motorists Insurance and BrickStreet Insurance, will have a need for a summer intern in Human Resources. This role could work from either our Columbus, Ohio or Charleston, WV location.
 
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Intern, Human Resources will assist with projects associated with benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development and other generalist duties. 
This is a summer internship and requires the selected candidate to work at least 40 hours per week. Start and end dates will be based on availability and business need.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
Under the direction of Human Resources professionals, assist with various HR duties.
Work with human resource staff on various projects.
 
OTHER FUNCTIONS: 
Nonessential function: other duties as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
·       Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours with an accredited college or university. 
·       Preference may be given to those pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field.
·       Preference may be given to those with prior applicable work experience.
·       Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
·       Excellent communication skills
·       Proven computer skills
·       Responsiveness to customer needs.
·       Ability to work well with both internal and external customers.
·       Initiative and desire to learn.
·       Ability to multi-task.
·       Strong attention to detail, including organizational skills.
·       Ability to work as a dependable, collaborative team member and perform based on established standards and expectations.
