Tax Intern (Summer 2023)

We are seeking students to join us for an eight week internship that will give a preview of the day to day responsibilities that come with being a full-time tax associate at Apercen Partners LLC.





Responsibilities

  • Prepare & review individual, partnership, flow-through entity, fiduciary, gift, and other various tax returns for clients
  • Prepare tax work papers, extensions, estimates, and tax advice for clients
  • Research and analyze issues in connection with the preparation, review, and delivery of tax returns and written tax advice. Ability to interface with appropriate tax agencies
  • Assist in developing solutions to complex tax consulting issues through research, use of advanced technology and deliberation with other team members
  • Perform all aspects of engagement tasks assigned under oversight of senior staff
  • Maintain firm privacy and confidentiality standards for all client matters





Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration/Economics with a concentration in Accounting, or a Master’s of Science in Accounting or Taxation
  • Final graduation dates (w/150 semester/225 quarter units +required accounting and ethic units completed to become a licensed CPA) from December 2023 –June 2024
  • Expecting to complete minimum education requirements to be eligible to sit for California CPA licensure exam before commencing full-time employment
  • History of academic and extracurricular success
  • Self- motivated, strong attention to detail, with excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multitask in fast-paced environments, and work successfully in independent and team settings
