Software Engineer, Early Career - Automation

If so, come join our Global Mobile Broadband team as a Software Engineer and be integral to supporting new and existing satellite global network service programs. We are developing technology and products that are revolutionizing the satellite communications industry by providing unprecedented speed, coverage and security to mobile platforms across the globe.
In this role, you will help integrate and test full SATCOM systems including remote modems, antenna systems, and ground station equipment. You will interface and collaborate with system, software, and hardware engineers as new capabilities are developed and transitioned into service. In addition, you will provide support to service engineering to help support an operational global network when support is required from development or test.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering & Computer Science, Software Engineering or related/equivalent
  • Experience in Software engineering, Computer Science, test software, test hardware, test equipment design
  • Experience with RF and digital design
  • Experience using Python
  • Familiarity with version control, preferably git or Perforce
  • Expertise in debug and troubleshooting via log file analysis
  • Expert with the Linux command line
  • Able to remotely access hosts via ssh
  • Capable of working independently to identify issues, propose solutions, and arrive at a common goal

Preferences
  • Previous internship experience 
  • git command line expertise
  • Lab coursework with hands on use of electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and/or spectrum analyzers
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks
  • Experience with C/C++ and/or Java
  • Familiarity with Jenkins Pipelines
  • Web automation with Selenium using html locators
  • Course work covering digital communications and computer networking with focus on TCP/IP Protocol
  • Ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance
