Job Responsibilities
Our team is responsible for development and support of the TRACKOS platform used for managing public wireless internet deployments, equipment, and user accounts. This platform provides the ability to monitor, manage, and report every aspect of Viasat’s public wireless service offering.
As a key member of this fast-paced Software Development team, you will use your talents to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Code, test, troubleshoot, document
- Update Jira tickets in a timely fashion
- Collaborate with other developers, QA, and architects
- Attend daily standup, sprint planning, or demo meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
- Broad knowledge of computer science and distributed computing systems; ability to keep up with the latest trends and to quickly learn new domains
- Experience with Python programming language
- Experience with SQL-based databases
- This position is part of a DevOps team. Team Members are expected to participate in the on-call rotation equally.
Preferences
- Knowledge of architecture containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of core web technologies - HTML5, Javascript ES6+, CSS3, DOM
- Knowledge of AWS cloud concepts
- Knowledge of APIs (REST, GraphQL)
