Job Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will perform full-cycle software development work as a member of a team working on different projects. The work of this team focuses on developing and supporting a Satellite ground station monitoring and control systems. You will be participating in an active software development team that is elevating our products to become a higher end system by adding more features and to be able to support multiple antennas. We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern with experience working in Python or scripting. An ideal candidate will have the knowledge and desire to support work the design, implementation, integration, and test of application software.
Requirements
*Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
*Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship
Preferences
*Familiarity with Postgres or MongoDB
*Experience with web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
*Familiarity with networking and cloud computing concepts
*Experience with distributed application development
*Knowledge of virtualization and experience with virtualization tools highly desired
*Continuous Integration & development (CI/CD) experience
*Validated understanding using Ansible playbook based SW/system deployment
*Experience with Monitoring & Control of sensors and devices
*Experience with building reusable code and libraries for future use
