Software Engineer, Early Career

Job Responsibilities 
As a Software Engineer supporting the RF Environment Generation (RFEG) line of business within our Government Systems business segment, you have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies that provides detailed environment generation systems that support some of the most technically advanced aircraft in the world. Viasat is the leader in dense, realistic RF environment generators. You will work with a highly skilled group of software, hardware, firmware and system engineers to design, develop and test the latest RF Stimulator technologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with the RFEG team, but also be self-motivated and able to work independently. The ability to develop software to control the RF radiation of hundreds of simulated aircraft is both complex and challenging, but ultimately very rewarding. The candidate should be skilled in C, Python and Java. Experience with real time operating systems and embedded processors is a plus.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, and/or a related field
  • Experience with C, Python, and Java
  • Ability to obtain a United States Special Access Programs Clearance

Preferences
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with real time operating systems and embedded processors
  • Ability to obtain a United States Top Secret Clearance
