Information Technology Intern – Summer 2023
Scope & Impact:
In this role, the intern has the opportunity to support one or more integral projects that will contribute to O-I’s success and shape our future. Throughout your experience, you will acquire and develop skills that supplement your academic work and prepare you for a potential full-time role in O-I’s Information Technology Development Program.
Reporting Relationships:
The position reports to the Global Service Management and Customer Engagement Lead.
During the internship, you’ll:
- Apply your skills in a dynamic team environment, while developing a broad understanding of our IT organization, its internal processes and the applications we support
- Support one of more projects. Selected projects may support the SAP implementation, architecture teams, applications development and/or infrastructure, depending on your interests and our needs
- Work on team projects as well as individual projects
- Be offered challenging and diverse opportunities while being supported through a structured learning and development program, with access to a variety of on-the-job activities, networking and social activities
The Information Technology Intern should have:
- Technical Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, Computer Architecture, Database, Programming, Networking and Project Management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments to meet objectives.
- High level of motivation and ability to work independently or in a team setting
Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in with Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related fields
- Targeted graduation date range: December 2023 through May 2025
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. (O-I does not sponsor working visas for internships)
