Finance Analyst Intern

We hire brilliant students to come join eBay as interns, so we make sure they work on meaningful and important projects that directly impact eBay’s business. (We don’t want you just twiddling your thumbs!) As an intern you also actively participate in Innovation Week, the Intern Conference and the Intern Showcase, along with various Finance networking events. When you are not busy learning new things, you’ll be making new friends at the many outings, events and adventures that will be planned to enhance your internship experience.
Finance at eBay is offering several internship opportunities, below are some of the core finance functions:
Opportunities:
- FP&A – Work closely with business partners across the organization in setting financial targets for the company and maintaining that budget, forecast quarterly and full year outlook from a risk and operations perspective, along with reporting and closing final numbers on a monthly basis.
- Analytics – Understand historical performance, monitor site health and translate site health trends into financial implications, and work alongside FP&A and other teams to forecast future volume based on site performance trends, and use data and insights to better the business
- Accounting – Ensure the integrity of internal and external financial statements while enabling business growth through tight product integration into Finance systems with effective internal controls, efficient processes around financial transactions.
- Internal Audit/SOX – Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance processes across the organization. Collaborate with our business partners to understand their organization’s strategy and objectives in order to provide valuable insights, improve business operations and effectively manage risk through our audit analyses and recommendations.
- Tax – Support business partners to plan and implement efficient tax strategies. Develop and maintain tax policies consistent with worldwide tax rules and requirements. The Tax team is responsible for income tax accounting and tax disclosures on 10Q and 10K filings.
- Treasury – Provide liquidity, protect & manage the capital & financial assets of eBay, while partnering with the business

Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a University undergraduate student graduating December 2022 onward
- High internet affinity and enthusiasm for e‐Commerce
- Excellent logical, analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent Excel & Presentation skills and knowledge of SAP/BW systems would be a plus
- Some SQL knowledge for the Analytics position
