Toyota Financial Services Internal Audit Intern

Who we’re looking for:
 
This job will support the Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Internal Audit Department and management by performing audits, testing of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), and other assignments as directed. This is a full-time internship for the Spring-term, January 2023-April 2023.
 
What you’ll be doing:
 
Responsibilities will primarily involve testing of controls to support management’s assertion under Sections 404 and 302 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and/or the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act (FDICIA). Test work may include Company Level Controls (CLCs) and/or Business Controls (BCs). Where schedules allow, the intern may also gain exposure to various Operations, Financial, and/or IT audits. 
 
What you bring:
 
The following functions/accountabilities are essential for all jobs:
·      Work collaboratively with IA team members, SOX PMO, and PwC audit team
·      Meet performance expectations and deliver assigned controls by prescribed deadlines
·      Maintain regular and predictable attendance to support team and business objectives as well as ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs as needed
·      0-2 years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
·      Professional audit license (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) or related degree with a concentration in Audit (preferred)
 
Required Qualifications:
·      Familiarity with internal auditing principles and best practices, including awareness of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
·      Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook, PowerBI, etc.)
·      Ability to effectively organize and manage information and data to prioritize work and meet deadlines
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·      Self-motivated with positive attitude and desire to learn
·      Ability to apply analytical and interpretive skills to problem solving
·      Candidate must be available full-time during the respective SOX testing period(s): January through April
 
To be considered, a candidate must have or be in the process of obtaining a BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. MBA or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Audit or related discipline (preferred). Must have lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
