Corporate Innovation Internship - Summer 2023 (Remote or Hybrid available)

Interns will collaborate with small yet nimble working groups we call ventures focused on solving challenging problems at the core of our business. With the goal of providing an integrative program, students should expect to make impactful contributions across the enterprise and to walk away with meaningful experiences. 
 
Learn more about our company by:
  • participating in an introductory insurance class
  • hearing from different departments to understand our corporate structure
  • interacting with leadership and experienced Associates
  • participating in group and individual projects

Be ready to:
Taking ownership is key within our Strategic Innovation Group, and there will be plenty of opportunities to be empowered to do so over your summer internship by:
  • participating in daily strategy and innovation discussions
  • supporting multiple projects/ventures
  • interacting with leadership and experienced associates
  • researching on behalf of our venture teams and sponsors
  • gaining exposure to all stages of corporate innovation
  • applying Lean Startup methodology to corporate endeavors
  • understanding the role corporate innovation plays within an organization and serving our customers

Expect to be folded right in, developing cross-functional, collaborated working relationships across venture teams.

Be equipped with:
  • an entrepreneurial mindset and a "whatever it takes" attitude
  • the attitude of a self-starter who isn't afraid to find their own answers
  • the ability to organize and document with significant attention to detail
  • the ability to be flexible, adaptable, work autonomously
  • confidence in presenting ideas and recommendations in front of senior leadership 
 
Requirements:
  • enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate -or- part-time graduate student at an accredited college/university
  • major in Entrepreneurship or business-related discipline with an interest in start-ups
  • collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)
  • in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
  • must be able to work up to 35 hours per week; Hybrid schedule
  • proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software

Starting Range of Pay, Depending on Knowledge and Skills: $18.00 per hour
