Business Development Representative Intern

Our 10-week Americas Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive learning experience with hands on work in areas across the organization. Interning with PTC provides students with the opportunity to work on high-visibility and high impact projects. This program begins June 5, 2023 and concludes August 11, 2023.

Your Impact:
The Business Development role is a critical component within a sales organization. They are often the first point of contact between PTC and a sales prospect. They are responsible for building pipeline for the sales organization through strategic outreach to prospective customers, and qualifying leads by uncovering business challenges are customers are having. As an entry level sales role, BDR's are expected to be in this role for 1-1.5 years before being promoted.

Your Team:
Our interns will sit side-by-side with BDR's currently in the seat, as well as closing Account Executives. They will support prospecting efforts into existing and net-new customers through lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and maintaining data integrity.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Lead qualification
  • Strategic Campaigning via phone and email
  • Maintenance of CRM logging customer interactions
  • Learning product knowledge and internal tools and processes
  • Demand generation
  • Driving traffic to marketing events
  • Opportunity creation
